30 JULY 2018 14:20

Our second HwylNos was held on the 27th July at Llety Cynin - a working farm near St Clears. A wonderful location to celebrate Wales' wonderful culture and traditions.

HwylNos at Llety Cynin was a wonderful feast of Welsh traditional food and entertainment. Guests were treated to a 2 course taste of Wales, featuring our traditional dish of Cawl - followed by a dish with a twist on the Welsh favourite, Bara Brith, for dessert.

Our compère for the evening was Aled Rhys Jones and guests were given a 'croeso' (welcome) to Llety Cynin with music on the harp from local girl Lucy Jones. Entertainment followed from the wonderful soloist, soprano Catrin Ann who sang some Welsh traditional songs as well as introducing the audience to some modern Welsh pop songs. And finally the evening concluded with the ever energetic Dawnswyr Talog dance group taking to the stage with their folk and clog dancing routines, and they even got the audience up on their feet and taking part - one way to work off the delicious meal.

Our next Hwyl Event takes place on the 23rd of August with our Hwyl @ the Garden - a event for the whole family at The National Botanic Garden of Wales. And make sure you check out all our future events by clicking here.  We hope that you can join us at one of our Hwyl Event in the near future.
